Last night as promised we went shopping for Evelyn Mount and her Outreach Program. We came back with 500 pounds of potatoes, 200 jars of cranberry sauce, 50 boxes of stuffing, 50 packets of gravy, over 300 cans of soup, 25 bags of beans and rice and 157 turkeys, totaling over 3,400 pounds of food!

Although we were able to donate such a large amount of food there is still a need for more. And Thanksgiving and Christmas are not the only times Evelyn is helping the community because people are hungry all year. Every month she passes out bags of food the those in need. She especially needs help packing bags for seniors with the smaller cans of fruits and veggies.

Her Christmas handout even gives out toys for the children and coats, hats and gloves for families as well. They are always needing donations to fill bags with food and Michael and Son’s is always willing to accept these donations and deliver them on your behalf. We also accept monetary donations all year.
