The Solace TreeAn important part of grieving the loss of a loved one is the opportunity to express the feelings involved. The Solace Tree was founded in 2003 by Emilio Parga as a place for children, teens and their caregivers to learn about death and have a safe place to express their feelings. As a non-profit organization, Solace Tree is able to offer these services with the help of the Reno/Sparks community.

Please take 30 minutes to watch this PBS special that explains what The Solace Tree is all about and help answer you questions, You Will Always Be With Me

On Friday, October 21st Michael & Son’s will be holding a fundraiser for The Solace Tree. We will be donating a portion of the day’s sales to the organization. Other fundraising that day will include the famous Spin-the-Wheel promotion with many prizes to win! From free repairs, jewelry prizes, massages, manicures, gift cards to Isabel’s Bakery, flower arrangements by Sparks Florist & more. The spin-the-wheel money and silent auction money will also go towards funding and offering more families the chance to use The Solace Tree.
