The easiest way to make sure that your pearls stay cleaner longer is to put them on after you have applied your makeup, perfume, hairspray and lotions. All of these will make your pearls look dull and dirty. As soon as you take off your pearls you need to wipe them off with a soft cloth. You can use water and mild soap to help clean them as well but dry with a clean dry cloth and allow them to air dry overnight before
storing them.
To store your pearls, wrap them in a soft cloth and place them in a drawer or separate portion of your jewelry box so that they will not be scratched by your other jewelry. Strands of pearls will need restringing from time to time so that you can be assured the silk or nylon is in good shape. Stop by and we will take a look and see if you should
