Getting the wording right
A few things to think about before you walk in:
- Keep it short. A few words read better than a full sentence, especially on a curved band.
- Choose one date format. 06.14.2019 and June 14, 2019 feel very different, so decide before you commit.
- Match the style to the space. Script is elegant but needs room. Block capitals stay clear on narrow bands.
- Check every letter. Names, apostrophes, and coordinates are the usual slip-ups, so a second pair of eyes helps.
- Think about where it goes. A private line inside a ring and a name on a pendant send different messages.
