Appraisals are important to keep your jewelry safe and properly insured. We recommend having your jewelry appraised every three to five years to ensure you are fully covered under your insurance policy. We offer complimentary appraisals on all jewelry purchased at Michael & Son's valued over $1000.

Have jewelry that wasn’t purchased from us? No problem. We offer professional jewelry appraisal services for insurance appraisals, resale value, and estate documentation. A certified jewelry appraiser visits our store once a month to evaluate your pieces with accuracy and care—your jewelry never leaves the premises.

Jewelry appraisal drop-offs are accepted at any time, with turnaround times depending on the appraiser’s scheduled in-store dates and demand. Please note that appointments are not required or accepted for appraisal services.

Appraisal pricing typically ranges from $75 to $250 per item, depending on the complexity and type of jewelry.
